Scores range from 0 to 5 with 0 as low risk and 5 as high risk.
Scores utilize sanctions primarily for critical risk scores. Various sources for sanctions are referenced for an international view of country risks. The heaviest weight is given to US sanctions, because JJASundry is based in the United States. However, the US has a detailed sanctions process with extensive public visibility into the process, which makes gathering details easier.

Not all countries have sanctions. However, various countries face risky scenarios outside of sanctions. To fairly produce extensive scores internationally, JJASundry references US travel advisories. The idea is reduced access to the country impacts the ability to evaluate the business located there. For example, auditors and inspectors may find challenges to travel there for inspections. Clearly this will increase the risk these countries present. Travel advisories carry less weight compared to sanctions.
